INSTRUCTIONS:

Toyota to 2009 and Lexus to 2018

MANUAL

Toyota/Lexus – smart key usage:

Procedure 1 – smart key system (reset of immobilizer and programming of keys):

1. Set DIP-SW5 to ON

2. Open driver’s door

3. Put a key inside of the car -> The security indicator of the vehicle will be blinking because the

key is unknown

4. Press and release the start button and immediately connect the device to the OBDII socket ->

the LEDs on the device will start to blink and the security indicator of the vehicle will become

dark.

5. After 15 minutes the security indicator of the vehicle will start blinking

6. Remove device from the OBDII socket. Set DIP-SW5 to OFF. Set only DIP-SW1 to ON all

remaining OFF

7. Press “START” button of the vehicle once -> instrument cluster becomes illuminated

8. Touch and hold with the key “START” button of the vehicle (logo side of the key should be

near to the button)

9. Connect device to OBDII socket and wait 10 seconds

10. Set SW1 of the device to OFF and wait until the green and yellow LEDs start blinking

simultaneously (still device is connected to the vehicle)

11. Remove the device from the OBDII connector of the vehicle and take out the key from the

vehicle, close all doors and push several times lock, unlock buttons

12. Wait until “Security” led of the vehicle starts blinking (usually this happens within 30 seconds)

13. You can start engine

Procedure 2 – smart key system (add key mode – possible for CAN bus models):

1. Set DIP-SW3 to ON (all remaining OFF)

2. Open driver’s door

3. Put the working key inside of the car

4. Press and release the start button and immediately connect the device to the OBDII socket ->

the LEDs on the device will start to blink and the security indicator of the vehicle will become

dark.

5. After 10 seconds touch the ignition switch (start button) with the working key (logo side) until

you hear two times a confirmation buzzer sound from the instrument cluster of the vehicle –

the key is registered.

6. Take out the key from the vehicle

7. If you have other keys for programming repeat steps above staring from 5.

8. Take out all keys from the vehicle (outside of keyless range)

9. Wait until “Security” led of the vehicle starts blinking (usually this happens within 30 seconds).

10. You can start the engine.

Note:

if in step 5 the confirmation buzzer sounds only once this means that key is not compatible with the vehicle.

Toyota/Lexus – ordinary key

Procedure 3 – ordinary key (reset of immobilizer and programming of keys):

Applicable for the models without need from a special key registration procedure.

1. Set DIP-SW5 to ON

2. Insert key in ignition BUT DON’T TURN IGNITION ON -> security LED of the immobilizer will

start blinking quickly because the key is not learned

3. Insert the device in the OBDII socket -> the LEDs will start blinking for more than 3 sec. then

will become dark (now the indication of the car that the key is not recognized will stop

blinking)

4. Remove the device from the OBDII socket

5. Remove the key from the ignition and put it back again (BUT DON’T TURN IGNITION ON!) ->

the key is learned

6. Repeat step 4 with all keys needed for programming

7. Turn ignition ON/OFF five times to cancel the programming procedure. If the programming

procedure still is not cancelled you should program a second key to the vehicle and then start

the engine with the first programmed key.

Procedure 4 – ordinary key (reset of immobilizer and programming of keys):

Applicable for the models where is needed a special registration procedure.

1. Set DIP-SW5 to ON and SW1 to ON

2. Insert key in ignition BUT DON’T TURN IGNITION ON -> the security LED of the immobilizer

will start blinking quickly because the key is not learned

3. Insert the device in the OBDII socket -> the LEDs will blinking for more than 3 sec. then will

become dark (now indication of the car that key is not recognized will stop blinking)

4. Remove the device from the OBDII socket

5. Remove the key from ignition and put it back again (BUT DON’T TURN IGNITION ON!) -> the

key is learned

6. Repeat step 4 with all keys needed for programming

7. Wait 30 seconds without key in ignition to cancel the key programming procedure. If the

programming procedure still is not cancelled you should program a second key to the vehicle

and then to start the engine with the first programmed key.

Procedure 5 – ordinary key (reset of immobilizer and programming of keys):

Applicable for the models where is needed a special registration procedure.

1. Set DIP-SW5 to ON, SW3 to ON and SW1 to ON

Notes – all type of keys:

• You can use the device with only SW1=ON. In this case will be performed only the key registration

procedure.

• For some Lexus vehicles together with SW5 ON you should set SW6 to ON to allow resetting of

immobilizer – Applicable for procedure 4 above.

• Some models Yaris/Corolla (2007+) need a special key registration procedure – you can configure your

device for this procedure by setting SW2 to ON together with SW1 – applicable for procedure 1 and 4

above.

• In case of non full compatibility between the vehicle and the key it is possible to have ignition but

engine not starting. In this case is needed an adaptation of the key: 1. Turn ignition ON; 2. Connect

pin 4 of and pin 13 of the OBDII connector and wait 30 minutes; 3. Remove link in OBDII
