INSTRUCTIONS:

The OPEL Corsa D emergency start device has the following features:

  • programming a transponder-key;
  • erasing all transponder-keys.

How to use the device:

The device is easy to use and requires minimum user intervention. Before using the device the operator can provide any required information through the eight switches placed on the device. The user chooses the operation mode of the device by setting the switches in different positions. A specific switch combination is responsible for each functionality of the device. The device also gives information to the user through the green, red and yellow lamps that are placed on it.

Programming a transponder-key:

1. In order to activate this function set switch 1 in position ON. Switch off all other switches except 9 and 10. Switches 9 and 10 must be in position ON.

2. Plug in the key that you want to program and then switch the ignition on.

3. Plug in the device into the OBDII connector of the car.

4. Wait until the operation is completed – refer to section “Indications for the user”.

5. Turn the ignition off.

6. Plug off the device from the OBDII connector.

7. If you need to program another key, please repeat the steps starting from 2.

Erasing all transponder-keys:

1. To activate this function set switch 1 and switch 8 in position ON. Switch off all other switches except 9 and 10. Switches 9 and 10 must be in position ON.

2. Turn the ignition on (engine off).

3. Plug in the device into the OBDII connector of the car.

4. Wait until the operation is completed – refer to section “Indications for the user”.

5. Turn the ignition off.

6. Plug off the device from the OBDII connector.

NOTE: Switches 9 and 10 must always be in position ON.

Indications for the user

The lamps on the device give feedback to the user as follows:

– Fast (4 Hz) blinking in red indicates operation in progress.

– Slow (1 Hz) blinking in green indicates successfully completed operation .

Error indications

Medium (2 Hz) asynchronous blinking in red and green indicates one of the following errors:

– wrong switch selection;

– pin code extraction failure;

– failure during entering security code into immobilizer;

– programming / erasing failure.
